In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.
"Our long-awaited son Sashenka has serious health problems after a difficult pregnancy and premature birth. The baby survived two months of eye surgery, repeatedly fought for life in intensive care, went through many trials and now has the following diagnoses: spastic tetraparesis due to a malformation of the brain with a delay in all types of development, partial atrophy of the optic nerves.
Since birth, we spend huge sums on treatment and rehabilitation. Also, a lot of money is spent on personal hygiene products, namely diapers.
Due to severe spasticity, it is very difficult for Sasha to put on regular diapers. We need Pampers pants in sizes 4 and 5. Sashulya also needs special nutrition, because. is on a gluten-free and casein-free diet. Neocate Junior mix is recommended.
The family has already exhausted all the funds. I am on maternity leave and receiving disability benefits for my child. The husband has a disability, receives a minimum disability pension, tries to work to the best of his illness. We are in dire need of financial support, so I turn to you for help. I beg you to help us. I will be very grateful! I hope for your positive decision. Thank you in advance!"
Can you help us purchase formula, diapers and purees for Sasha for the next three months?
