Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Nathalee is a 4 year old girl from the Philippines. She has been diagnosed with VACTERL syndrome - which is a disorder that affects many body systems. VACTERL stands for vertebral defects, anal atresia, cardiac defects, tracheo-esophageal fistula, renal anomalies, and limb abnormalities. People diagnosed with VACTERL association typically have at least three of these characteristic features.
Nathalee was born with an imperforate anus and needed emergency surgery as a newborn to place a colostomy.
She is now waiting to have her colostomy reversal but her doctors will not consider her for surgery until she gains weight.
Her family is unable to afford the formula she needs to gain weight quickly and are desperate for her help for their daughter.
Can you help us purchase formula, colostomy bags and other essentials for Nathalee?
