Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Mario is 14 months old. He has epilepsy and experiences frequent seizures. Only during a recent hospital admission did doctors tell his parents that he likely has Down syndrome. It hasn't been confirmed as his parents cannot afford the genetic testing.
His father works as a construction worker but due to recent COVID restrictions he has been unable to work since February. They haven't been able to pay their electricity bill in two months and it has been turned off. They have had to move in with Mario's grandparents.
They are struggling to afford Mario's expensive anti-seizure medications as well as his formula, diapers, vitamins and other essentials.
Can you help us purchase these for little Mario?
