Massachusetts Beta House Fundraiser


Brothers-


WE DID IT!  With the new year comes a NEW ERA for Mass Beta.  Not since our installment in 1991 has our chapter had as SIGNIFICANT a day as it had on Dec 29, 2023, when Neil Spindel finally signed the CLOSING documents for our alumni corporation’s PURCHASE of 18-20 Hammer Street!  


Back in 2022, we reached out to each of you through zooms, emails, and individual phone calls to get the donations needed for the purchase.  YOU STEPPED UP!  We have raised in nearly $150,000 committed over 5 years.  The cumulative donations thus far are in excess of $50,000.  We had what we needed to purchase the house with financing provided by the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation and so the board of directors of the Mass Beta Housing Corp voted to authorize the deal. 



We are so PROUD of how this alumni body came together to support our chapter and make this HAPPEN.  Saving the Hammer St. house for Mass Beta means the chapter gets to keep its central meeting place, the heart and soul of the chapter in perpetuity.  But most importantly, the brotherhood now has ownership via the alumni corp in the house.  There will be a new CULTURE of PRIDE in the now official chapter house.  Each brother must PRESERVE it, MAINTAIN it, and APPRECIATE the special privilege that chapter house ownership provides.



The most difficult task is behind us but there’s a lot more work to do.  The house needs work.  Some necessary projects like heating upgrades are already in the works.  Other renovations will happen over time as your donations stream in, including kitchen and bathroom upgrades.  We will continue to need alumni help to make this happen.  Please give by clicking a link below!
