I started to design this online course in 2016. Inspired by children that didn't have access to good music education and by parents desperate to help their children practice but without the know how.
It became a passion of mine to find a solution, so I studied my way through dozens of violin methods to design an efficient method by combining the strengths of several different methods and making them relevant to modern students. I slowly saved up to convert a damp basement into an awesome recording space. I experimented with different cameras and recording equipment and finally studied sound and video editing.
Now, almost 4 years down the line I am finally publishing the first videos. I will tackle one important issue with each exercise and provide a step by step programme that will tie in with the repertoire of ABRSM and Trinity exam boards and the world famous Suzuki method for violin and viola.
If you enjoy my project and/or see the value of what I am trying to achieve, please donate to cover the costs involved in this large and long term project. I hope to be able to outsource some of the work (subtitling and translations. video editing, scoring, etc. ) over time so I can focus my time and energy on making the content even better and release more videos to help everyone out.
No matter what happens, I guarantee that the whole course will be available for free for everyone, including pdfs of all sheet music that is not under copyright. I cannot offer you anything beyond what I already offer for free for your donations, but I promise, as soon as I can afford I will get rid of those horrible advertisements everywhere!
Many thanks for visiting my site, and I hope to welcome you back here soon!
Kindest regards,
Mark Pedus
