Hello, friends of Magicians Without Borders; we are writing because we are off in late March to begin our ninth Sorcerer’s Apprentice program in Lviv, Ukraine. We are starting this program in the midst of this brutal war against the Ukrainian people —daily, they are living with pain and terror in the cold and dark. A dozen Ukrainian teenagers will learn magic and gain an increased sense of self-confidence, discipline, focus and self-esteem —this will be a significant bit of hope and light in the midst of the terrible darkness of war. Our two Pediatrician hosts in Lviv are so excited that we are coming and bringing this bit of hope at this awful time in their history.
We need help to pay for this program —the two weeks Tom (founder) and Carlos (global programs director) will be in Ukraine to launch the program and the first year supporting it with props and a salary for the magician who will meet weekly with the young magicians after we leave. Fund-raising has been very challenging with the Economy in such a difficult place with the Market value dropping and the cost of Inflation. We would love your help with this trip to Ukraine.
