Goal

The Ichupa Upcycle Project™ is a transformative nonprofit organization focused on addressing the challenges posed by plastic waste in Uganda by harnessing its potential for positive change. Through innovative upcycling techniques, the project aims to reshape the perception of discarded plastic and unlock its value as a valuable resource. By upcycling plastic waste into durable building materials, such as plastic bottle bricks, The Ichupa Upcycle Project contributes to sustainable construction solutions while simultaneously promoting environmental conservation. The project's objective is to empower communities, provide access to harvested rainwater, and foster a greener future in Uganda, one upcycled brick at a time.

We employ a multi-faceted approach to fundraising, which includes securing grants, establishing partnerships with academic institutions and NGOs, and offering affordable goods and services to benefit the people of Uganda. Through successful grant applications, we secure financial support to drive our initiatives and expand our impact. Collaborations with academic institutions and NGOs enable us to leverage their expertise, resources, and networks, fostering a collective effort toward our shared goals. We are committed to ensuring that our goods and services remain affordable and accessible to Ugandans, prioritizing affordability as a means to empower and uplift communities. By combining these fundraising strategies, we strive to create sustainable and inclusive solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in Uganda.
