Hello and thank you for stopping by! We're Comraich, a new animal sanctuary opening up in Scotland with the charitable aims of:
- The prevention of relief of poverty
- The advancement of education
- The advancement of citizenship or community development
- The advancement of animal welfare
We will achieve these aims by working with the community to offer educational courses and facilitate other charities doing the same, giving work experience in animal welfare and tourism/hospitality management, offering retreats for guests and other organizations in the area, and housing and caring for non-human animals who would otherwise be in a worse off state.
After the last year getting set up, we are now in our crowdfunding stage! Here are some examples of what your one time or monthly donation will go towards:
- If possible, buying our own land!
- Building fencing and housing for the animals
- Setting up our community garden area
- Building classrooms to run our courses
- Paying for recourses to run our programs
- Building water and electricity lines to the site
- Buying feed for the animals
- Building short stay housing for guests and volunteers
- Constructing storage units for tools and feed
