Who We Are:
The Agape Mission Inc. birthed in 2019 and founded in 2022 as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3). Located in Central Florida, we are positioned to answer the resounding call of action to end youth homelessness. We are committed to demonstrating free love and support to the members of our community that need it the most. The Agape Mission Inc. provides comprehensive support and housing to young parents that are disconnected from traditional supports and experiencing homelessness. We will be a model for best practices in partnering with youth to ensure that they are safe and accomplish their goals.
Why We Are Here:
Many young parents, 18-24, are serviced in adult shelters and given support and services that are not tailored to their developmental needs. Young homeless families are a unique group, with unique needs. The Agape Mission Inc. believes that by providing support and services that are youth driven and developmentally appropriate, we will see a greater impact and our participants will feel seen and honored.
We are here to provide safe spaces for youth and young families, assist with meeting basic needs, and exposing them to new opportunities. We will help to facilitate safe risk taking, dreaming, education, and creativity. We are here to provide relevant experiences and training to support their growth and goals. As they develop the plan and identify goals, we are here to come alongside and help identify their needed resources to reach the success that they have defined for their own lives.
Our Service Delivery Model:
Participant Driven- Our participants are the experts in their lives. They are in the driving seat and we are here to listen, and assist them in navigating their paths, with an intentionality on safety, health and productivity.
Trauma Informed- We recognize that young families experiencing homelessness may have also been traumatized during their journey. It is our responsibility to recognize and respond to the impact of trauma on their development as well as mental and physical health.
Restorative- We believe that all human connection is crucial to survival humans are designed to connect. We need strong and meaningful relationships to grow and strive. The Agape Mission Inc. assists our participants in strengthening relationships as well as restoring and strengthening social connections with the community.
Culturally Relevant- We believe that everyone is unique, and their culture is an integral part of their identity. We approach each participant with curiosity and a desire to learn and understand who they are.
Developmentally Appropriate- Our Participants deserve to be met where they are and provided support and services with an understanding of their developmental stage. We believe that our participants will thrive when they are given equitable support in the proper context.

How You Can Help
We are asking for your partnership in helping us launch our Workforce Development Program, Agape Works. In 2021, there were 230 young, homeless parents in Central Florida. 59% of those young parents reported to have no income and 64% reported that they were with out health insurance.
Agape Works supports young parents experiencing homelessness by provide comprehensive case management, job readiness training, and subsidized/ unsubsidized employment opportunities.
The goal of our program is to support young, homeless families in removing barriers to employment and establishing stability and success through gainful employment.
Launching Agape Works will enable us to begin meeting an immediate needs of young families while also scaling the growth of our Nonprofit for a greater impact.
