Laps for Longfellow is a walk-run event each fall, during school, led by the Longfellow specials teachers (music, art, and gym) and the Longfellow PTO. Laps for Longfellow is one of the two major fundraisers for the Longfellow Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
This year Laps for Longfellow will be held on Tuesday, October 6 (rain date Tuesday, October 27).
On the event day, every student will have the opportunity to complete as many laps as possible in 20 minutes. Note that sponsorships are not on a per-lap basis; it’s a simple “flat” sponsorship.
Students will have the month before the event to raise funds from family, friends, and neighbors to support the Longfellow PTO. The goal for the event is to raise funds for the school to support curriculum enrichment, school supplies, community-building events, and much more - benefiting every student at Longfellow school.
