Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP) is a 501©(3) nonprofit that advances education equity. Together with families, schools, and the community, LAEP facilitates access to and opportunities for quality education and wellness practices so that children can thrive from diapers to diplomas.
Did you know research shows that every $1 invested in Early Head Start (EHS) generates a $7 return on investment? LAEP enhances learning spaces and communities so infants, toddlers, and learners of all ages can thrive. Children who receive high-quality early childhood education are more likely to graduate high school and attend college. Mothers with children in Early Head Start are 15% more likely to join the workforce once their children turn 3.
Early Head Start, a no-cost program to our families, is childcare, early childhood education, social and emotional learning, and nutrition for 0–3-year-olds at their most crucial years for brain development. It is also economic relief & coaching for new parents.
Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP) is set to serve over 200 infants/toddlers this school year and 30 pre-natal mothers in the South Los Angeles, Hawthorne, and Inglewood communities.
Last year, 52% of our EHS families identified as food insecure.
Please donate an amount that is meaningful to you and you believe will make an impact to our Early Head Start fund so a family won’t have to choose between food, formula, or diapers. So instead, that young family can focus on creating spaces for joy and learning for their infants and toddlers.
