This week we were asked to help a small kitten who'd been removed from a car engine. We went through loads of options - but no one could take her in, she was away from any familiar home, and she is so young, maybe about 7 weeks old. So she came here, and is quarantined in a cage until we can get her to a vet. We named her Pickle cause she sure got herself into one!

How much it costs

To have her spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and chipped will run about €200. To cover supplies like food and litter, this is about €65 a month per cat. If she's tame, we will foster her until she finds a good home which takes an average of 6 months. If she's feral, she'll be integrated into our outdoor colony.

In other words, this little Pickle will run us €600, hoping she has no health issues. Adopters typically pay a small fee of €120 and her rescuer kindly contributed €100.

The reason we initially said no was because we are trying to pay off current vet bills while not increasing our debt further. So, we are asking for your support! Every amount - be it €5 or 50 really makes a bit impact.

Thank you!!
