Kimolos is a small, remote island in the Cycladic region of the Greek archipelago. It’s a place where simplicity and the Mediterranean way of life are still very much alive where things move slower and life feels more grounded. I’ve been visiting Kimolos for a few years now and have grown really attached to the island and the people who live there.
However like many small islands in Greece, Kimolos has just one school and it’s under-equipped. The classrooms are outdated, and students are missing even the most basic modern tools.
That’s why I’m raising money to donate a smart board to the school. It’s a small but meaningful step toward giving the kids access to better learning. The smart board will allow teachers to use more engaging material, connect to educational resources online, and modernize the classroom closer to what students in other parts of the world already have.
This fundraiser goes entirely toward purchasing and delivering the smart board to the island. Every contribution helps and it’ll go directly toward something real and needed.
