1010 Metres Covered
Training update!
Teena and I got in a training swim at Seapoint this week — we covered 1,010 metres as we build up towards the Great Killary Fjord Swim this September.
We're not just doing this for the challenge — we're swimming to raise vital funds for WASP – Whitechurch Addiction Support Programme.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps WASP continue providing support, hope, and recovery services to individuals and families affected by addiction in our community.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared the fundraiser, or sent words of encouragement — it keeps us motivated with every training session.
We'll be sharing regular updates as we work towards September — wish us luck!

First Training Session
Rain belting down, sea doing its thing, and absolutely zero excuses. Hit the water at Seapoint today with my incredible swim buddy Teena Gates — and honestly, I left the water in awe of her.
Teena has a fused hip joint and is dealing with very real, constant pain every single day. She's now swimming with just one leg. And yet — there she was this morning, in the lashing rain, in the Irish Sea, giving everything she had. We took it nice and easy, kept it smart, and still clocked a respectable time and distance. One leg. Chronic pain. Soaking wet. Absolutely unstoppable.
We're training for the 750m open sea swim in Killary Fjord this September — and if Teena's showing up like this in June, I have no doubt we'll both be crossing that finish line together.

Some people redefine what's possible just by showing up. Teena is one of those people.
Season is officially underway.
