Dear Supporters,
In our ongoing mission to enhance music education in Kenya, we have worked to provide schools with essential instruments, equipment, and teaching materials. In the past, we have collected and shipped donated instruments or transported them with us during teaching trips. While this has been effective, it is also costly and time-consuming.
With the current strength of the dollar, we now have a unique opportunity to make an even greater impact by purchasing instruments locally in Kenya. This allows us to stretch our resources further while directly supporting the local economy.
Right now, band method books are a top priority as we prepare to launch a cohort of young instrumentalists in March 2025. We are also working to provide instrument repair tools and upkeep supplies such as cork, reeds, strings, pads, and oil to ensure that students can maintain their instruments and continue their musical journey. As the program expands, we will need even more instruments for band, orchestra, and classroom use.
To continue this vital work, we are seeking:
- $1,500 to purchase music supplies within Kenya.
- $2,500 to cover room and board for six U.S. volunteer teachers.
- $400 for our next shipment of instruments.
- $200 to support student travel to Kenya's annual music festivals.
Your generous support makes this possible. By contributing, you help us adapt and refine our strategies, ensuring that students and teachers receive the resources they need for a sustainable and thriving music education program.
Together, let’s create lasting change through the power of music.
Warm regards,
