Months of fundraising, several hundred hours of work, and all the blood sweat, and tears you can imagine, but we finished our project and did it on schedule! Our goal from the start of this project was to have the new baskets in the ground and ready for the CCDG Finale on November 6th and 7th and we did it!
Huge thanks to John Snyder and Shawn Madden for tirelessly being out there every day last week to get the final touches done!
More thanks out to Kedno Chadwick for the generous concrete donations through the project. He saved us both money and time with his efforts and we can't thank him enough!

Although we are still raising money Capital City Disc Golf recently placed the order for the baskets to prevent an increase in project cost due to hardware costs going up. As a result, we received the baskets today! We will be working on a plan of action to have the baskets installed in October. In the meantime, if you have the means to donate to the project please do so, or reach out to us directly if you have questions.
Last night our president Daniel Schoonover presented the project to the Keizer Parks Advisory Board. After a lot of discussion about the project, they have committed $2,500 to the project, with the potential for some additional money if we continue our fundraising efforts.
With that said we have updated the project goal to reflect the assumed labor cost for the project. We will not be paying for labor as CCDG members will be volunteering for their time as part of this effort. However, the Parks Advisory board suggested including that cost in the grant request to make sure we fully capture all the funds and time that CCDG has committed to the project (which is $5,548 so far). So at this moment, we need less than $3,000 to reach our goal!

Wow! We are amazed at how many of you have foregone your league payouts and donated them to our basket project. This Wednesday our club President (Daniel Schoonover) will be presenting to the Keizer Parks Advisory Board showing them all the effort we have put into the course and sharing the news on our current donation effort. These donations will show how serious we are to the city of Keizer about this project!

We submitted an application the city of Keizer Parks Advisory board today to be considered for their grant matching program. If we are approved we can reduce our goal by half! Wish us luck. We present on July 13th.
We are still putting some final touches together on the project plan but we didn't want to delay the fundraising effort any longer. We will provide some additional updates soon!
