Keeping LISD Strong

The Leander ISD Board has called Prop A, a school funding election (VATRE), for November 3. It's on the ballot because the district already cut $26 million this year, consolidating a campus, reducing staff, growing class sizes, and still landed a $9.9 million deficit.

Prop A restores three of the 36 cents the state has forced LISD to cut from its tax rate over the last six years. That funds classrooms, the special education staff the district needs after a 28% jump in that student population, and the teacher retention bonuses that keep LISD competitive with every district around it.

Early voting runs October 19 through 30. Election Day is November 3.

The voters who've heard the real numbers already back this. The ones who haven't are the ones we still have to reach, and reaching them before they vote costs money, mail, texts, digital ads, people knocking doors. If you believe Leander ISD is worth fighting for, now's when it counts. Give what you can.
