Introducing KatalystEDU

This Didn’t Start As Just An Idea

It started as a pattern.

For years, I’ve worked alongside brilliant women who were already doing high-level, complex, impactful work inside organizations.

They were:

  • leading teams

  • managing programs

  • designing strategy

  • holding institutions together

And yet, when they made the decision to step into consulting or independent work, they felt they needed:

  • another credential

  • another program

  • another permission slip

  • another “expert” to validate what they already knew

I knew that wasn’t true — because I was one of them.

What we need is clear direction (a coach or advisor), a network of people you can lean on, build with, and learn from (community), specific knowledge about how to do specific things (education).

This is the full Katalyst ecosystem.

My Name Is Kamilah

I’m the Founder & CEO of Katalyst Consulting Group.

Like many women, I spent years building other people’s missions. I learned how systems work. I learned how power flows. I learned how value is extracted — and how rarely it’s shared.

When I left traditional leadership roles and began building my consulting practice, I noticed something else entirely.

It wasn’t that we, as new entrepreneurs, lacked expertise.

It was that we were scattered—constantly searching for information we already had among us.

Because I had spent years building and holding a community of consultants, I could see what others couldn’t. One woman was launching podcasts that generated leads. Another was building paid Substacks and newsletters with real traction. Others were closing deals with ease, setting boundaries, and shaping their practices on their own terms.

We were the experts...sometimes in very specific things from what we tried, failed, pivoted, and ended up succeeding in.

Yet we kept looking outward—to podcasts, YouTube, and platforms that rarely reflected our lived experience—for validation and guidance.

I didn’t want us to keep searching outside ourselves for answers that already existed within our community.

That realization is what led to KatalystEDU.

What I Saw Over and Over Again

I met women who:

  • had decades of experience

  • were deeply trusted in their fields

  • were already being asked for advice — for free

  • were told consulting was “risky,” “uncertain,” or “not for them”

At the same time, I watched:

  • tech founders raise millions on ideas

  • men be funded for potential

  • platforms reward confidence over competence

The contrast was impossible to ignore.

So instead of building another program centered on me, I asked a different question:

What if we built a platform that centered us as the experts — collectively?

That Question Became KatalystEDU

KatalystEDU is a consultant-led education platform designed to document, amplify, and circulate the lived expertise of real, practicing consultants.

It’s built around:

  • short, focused masterclasses (~45-60 minutes)

  • one real business question at a time

  • taught by consultants actively doing the work

  • designed for independent, self-directed learners

No hustle culture.
No performative vulnerability.
No long programs that require constant presence.

Just real knowledge — shared with care.

Why We’re Crowdfunding

We all know the story of tech bros getting funding just for their ideas and identities.

We’re asking for support to expand something that already exists.

Katalyst Consulting Group has:

  • a multi-year track record

  • an engaged, active community

  • proven demand for this kind of education

  • a clear plan for growth and sustainability

Crowdfunding allows us to:

  • invest in high-quality production

  • build the platform thoughtfully

  • build the team to help this launch and grow

  • protect the intellectual property

  • avoid shortcuts that compromise our values

This is about building something BIG that lasts.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Your contribution helps fund:

  • 🎥 Production — filming and editing three, pilot expert-led masterclasses

  • 🧠 Marketing — building campaigns to get this valuable product in front of the right people

  • 🛠️ Technology — learning platforms and tools

  • 🎨 Design — making education feel accessible and intentional

  • 📋 Operations — admin, coordination, and systems

  • ⚖️ Legal & IP — contracts, protections, sustainability

This is infrastructure work — the kind that rarely gets funded, but makes everything else possible.

Why This Matters (Beyond This Platform)

When women control:

  • knowledge

  • platforms

  • pricing

  • and distribution

Economic power shifts.

KatalystEDU isn’t just about learning how to consult.

It’s about who gets to teach, who gets paid, and whose expertise is taken seriously.

Your support helps make that shift tangible.

What Happens Next

  • First KatalystEDU content drop planned for early spring

  • Additional sessions released throughout the year

A Personal Thank You

Maybe it's because you've been following me and my work over the years and you believe in me.

Thank you for supporting this work.

Thank you for believing in women.

Thank you for helping build what comes next.

With gratitude,
