JW has been selected to participate in the prestigious New Balance Future Stars Series Fresh 50 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He needs your help to make this dream a reality. The players are not charged a fee to participate but instead get the opportunity to raise funds for Future Stars Series Foundation and St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. The players have a chance to earn stipends towards their expenses just by helping raise money for these great causes.
Meet JW: JW has been playing baseball since he was 4 years. His love for the game has only grown as he's gotten older. He is a sophomore at William Byrd High School in Vinton, Virginia. He catches, plays 3rd, and 1st base. He's so blessed to be given the opportunity to be selected for this big event.
JW shares his favorite baseball memory: "When I got the email saying that I have been selected for the Fresh 50. I have enjoyed meeting players from all over."
JW also shares what attending the NBFSS Fresh 50 means to him: "It means that all the hard work and dedication toward reaching my goals are paying off. I look forward to playing and competing with great talent in Nashville."
The New Balance Future Stars Series is not just about discovering and developing the MLB Heros of tomorrow. It’s about discovering and developing the leaders of tomorrow by creating real opportunities where they don’t exist today: opportunities for education, opportunities to give back to their community… opportunities for a future. We are incredibly grateful that JW Vaughan is a part of this chapter in our mission to CHANGE THE GAME!
Up to 20% of all net proceeds will be donated to Future Stars Series Foundation and St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
