Junior Ultimate Buenos Aires (JUBA) is a community-based project that brings Ultimate Frisbee to children and teens in Buenos Aires through schools and local institutions.
We use the sport not just to teach skills, but to create spaces where kids can learn teamwork, respect, and responsibility through the Spirit of the Game.
Where we’re coming from
Since 2021, JUBA has been growing step by step through school workshops, after school programs, and community events, with the support of families, educators, and players from the local Ultimate community.
This work is real, local, and already happening.
What we’re building in 2026
In 2026, our focus is on continuity.
We want to:
- Sustain two existing children’s programs
- Launch a new youth space (13+), so teens don’t lose access at a key age
- Keep organizing school activities and community events that bring people together
This is about making sure kids don’t fall out of the game just as they’re ready to grow into it.
Why this campaign, and why now
This Christmas campaign helps us prepare the year before it begins.
Funds raised now allow us to plan ahead, support our coaches, and have equipment and structure ready so programs can start on time and run consistently throughout 2026.
Funds are managed through a personal account administered by Ian Mackern, in his role coordinating and overseeing finances for Junior Ultimate Buenos Aires (JUBA), working alongside educators, coaches, and partner institutions. Contributions are not tax-deductible. We’ll share updates along the way so you can see how this continues to grow.
