Jonah is fundraising for UAWD!
Unite All Workers for Democracy (UAWD) is a grassroots movement of rank-and-file workers in the United Auto Workers (UAW) who are seeking your support in a once-in-a-generation opportunity to help transform their union. This fall, UAW workers will vote in a referendum on adopting a “one member, one vote” system of electing top union officers. Winning would be a HUGE step towards building a democratic, member-run labor movement!
Please see this letter of support for our campaign from Eric Blanc, Mike Davis, Meagan Day, Steve Early, Bill Fletcher, Robin D. G. Kelley, Nelson Lichtenstein, Peter Olney, Ken Paff, Paul Schrade, and Jane Slaughter.
We need your support to make sure we win One Member One Vote! Ballots are being mailed on October 19 and the Administration Caucus has deep pockets to convince UAW members that they don’t deserve the right to elect their own leaders, or that their vote won’t matter. Please make a donation today!
Your donations will be used to help cover the costs of UAWD’s Get Out The Vote campaign leading up to the referendum. This will cover the cost of flyers, mass emails and texts to UAW members, mailers, staff, and legal fees. UAWD has a goal of raising $50,000 by October 19, the day ballots will be mailed out. Please join me and help UAWD rebuild the labor movement!
NOTE: Please note that we cannot accept donations from any employers. If you employ one or more individuals, we cannot accept your donation. We are an unincorporated nonprofit association and donations are not tax-deductible.
