Rebuild Hope in Syria with BeChild (Formerly KidsRainbow)
In Syria, everything needs to be rebuilt—from its vibrant society to its schools, infrastructure, and economy. Nearly 14 years of war have devastated the country, leaving millions without homes, education, or access to basic services.
We are BeChild, and for the past four years, we've been working near the Syrian border in Turkey, offering education and psychosocial support to hundreds of refugee children and families in need.
Now, we’re taking a step forward: we’re opening our first community center in Syria. This center will be a place of learning, healing, and hope.
We will offer a safe and colorful place engaging children with educational activities for learning languages, exploring languages, art and self expression while playing in a joyful environment.
Syria's story is deeply personal to many of us.
Over 6.9 million Syrians have spent years displaced in tents and do not have a home to go back to, some of them are the same families we have been working with in Turkey, some of them are the families of our staff and volunteers.
6.8 million Syrians have fled the country and are scattered around the world as refugees. These are friends and loved ones who have faced dangerous journeys and discrimination, seeking safety and opportunity.
People are traumatized and hurt.
They need stability and they deserve hope for a better life.
It is our shared responsibility as human beings to make the world a better place and support the most fragile.

The Need Is Urgent:
Over 2 million children are out of school.
7,000 schools lie in ruins.
40% of hospitals no longer function.
13.6 million people lack access to clean water and sanitation.
Syria’s economy has shrunk by 85%, leaving entire families without basic means.
