Who are we?

IKAN KECIL AMED BALI Foodbank and Community Centre is a non-profit NGO in Bali Indonesia, focusing on empowering young people to lead in assisting their community by implementing sustainable solutions in the areas of crisis management, basic health care & sanitation, environmental responsibility, education equality, disability & aged care.


Established in 2017 in Amed Bali after response to the Mount Agung emergency, IKAN KECIL have a drop off point in Amed, Karangasem and is working closely with the Balinese community.

We are currently assisting communities in West Karangasem affected by the recent Bali earthquake (4.8 SR).

⚠️We are less then 2 hours away from the epicenter of the earthquake and work closely with local authorities, regularly reassessing the situation.

What we do?

IKAN KECIL is an emergency response organisation and we are currently accepting international airpost donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Bali Medical Personnel during the COVID-19 emergency response and donations of N95 masks 

and emergency equipment for the potential emergency response to the eruption of Mt. Agung. 



We distribute food parcels, family food boxes and other essential supplies to the most vulnerable in Karangasem, East Bali during the current COVID-19 pandemic. 

We ensure the health and wellbeing of the families that need assistance, and we provide support in the case of health crisis, loss of income, disability or sudden family challenges.




We are an independent organisation therefore able to choose to work with partner organisations in Bali with whom we share respect, ethics and values.

We are proud to have established long lasting relationships with experienced Bali charities and to create a trusted platform for international donors to be involved in.



Foodbank, Family Food Boxes and Food Parcels  

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the alarming decline in the economy could double the amount of people suffering from hunger and thus increasing the risk of malnutrition across Bali and Indonesia.

 A sustainable and nutritious food supply is a step forward towards eradicating generational poverty.


Food package includes:  minimum 5kg of rice, eggs, dry beans or dry fish, seasonal fruits and vegetables, tempeh or tofu, garlic, chillies, onion and cooking oil. 

Additional items include: reusable face mask, soap, laundry powder.

We collaborate with private donors, local business and restaurant owners and multiple Bali based food aid organisations.

Distribution and set up of water filters to the families living in Karangasem and remote areas of East Bali. 

Karangasem is Bali most undeveloped and dry regency where the population often have very limited or none access to water. That affects everything from people's health to the quality of crops and eventually income and survival.

Food security and nutrition

"Padang Kawat" food garden, nursery and gatsu rice project is a collaboration with local food producers and rice farmers from Sibetan Villages in Karangasem East Bali, established during current COVID-19 crisis. 

We aim at expanding the variety of nutritious plants and foods suitable for growing in the area of East Bali, stopping malnutrition and create sustainable income for farming families and local food producers.

Sustainable pig farming

Animal agriculture is a way to prevent poverty, hunger, disease and environmental degradation. 

This program is providing sustainably rised and healthy piglets 

to rural families,
