The deer he swerved to avoid escaped unscathed, however, Joe did not. Joe sustained serious bodily injuries to his neck and back that required surgery returning home from a baseball tournament.
We have incurred over $20,000 in hotel costs in Atlanta and Raleigh the last 4 months doing outpatient physical therapy and over $100,000 in out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance. Joe is working tenaciously to recover and rehabilitate from his injuries.to get back on the baseball field coaching..

52 players Joe individually coached and mentored have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams., the Diamondbacks, Braves,, Dodgers, Yankees, 2023 World Champion Texas Rangers, and other teams.
Joe also coached and signed over 200 overlooked talented college players to their first professional baseball contract playing games at the spring training stadiums of the San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, San Diego Padres, Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds in the Arizona Freedom Pro Baseball League, which he founded. Some of these players were picked up by MLB teams after developing their skills in the Freedom Pro Baseball League
