Our team is excited to share that we have the incredible opportunity to travel to Jeffreys Bay, South Africa, as part of a team of Birmingham men and women leaders who are passionate about investing in and empowering others through leadership development and meaningful relationships. Together, we will share the hope we have in Christ with those we meet.

Our Mission
From July 19 to August 4, 2026, our team will serve alongside Grace Klein Community’s Global Partner, Beats and Books (est. 2021), participating in both the Empowering Women’s Conference and the YouThrive Youth Conference.
During the conferences, we will speak on leadership skills, growth mindset, courage, purposeful decision-making, and spiritual formation. We want to encourage all conference participants to create a lasting, positive impact on their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.
Empowering Women’s Conference
Leadership development, spiritual formation, and encouragement for women leading in every sphere.
YouThrive Youth Conference
Growth mindset, courage, and purposeful decision-making for youth and young leaders.
Beyond the Conferences
Beyond the conferences, we will connect with local business leaders, mayors, ministry leaders, and youth through ministry opportunities, cultural exchanges, and relational experiences designed to foster long-term impact.
The journey is not focused only on what we bring, but also on what we will learn and carry home. As we invest in the lives of South African men and women, our own hearts will be shaped, challenged, and deeply encouraged.

Our team is raising $6,500 per person to cover flights, lodging, transportation, meals, event expenses, and a meaningful contribution to bless our hosts at Beats and Books. Together, as a team of 9 participants, our goal is to raise $58,500. Our fundraising goal requires a team effort, and every prayer, dollar, and word of encouragement plays a vital role in making the mission possible.
South Africa Fundraising Night
United at the Table: Partnering with God’s Work in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa
Join us for a night of dinner and testimonies as we hear from Cornelius Ngosa, Founding Director of Beats and Books, and connect with current and former Empowering Unity team members.
