Enjoy a delicious meal and donate to Jacari so they can provide free bespoke tuition to disadvantaged children who use English as an additional language (EAL) in Bristol and Oxford and help them achieve their potential. 

Jacari is a small but impactful charity that provides bespoke tuition and extracurricular activities to over 200 young refugee, asylum-seeker and migrant pupils in Bristol and Oxford. Their volunteer tutors are mostly university students who visit a pupil in their home or school every week during term-time for fun, informal tutoring sessions which focus on building the child's confidence and language skills.

Many of Jacari’s former volunteers’ memories of Jacari tutoring involve the delicious food their pupil's family gave them when they tutored them at home. This inspired Jacari’s “Big Night In” - cooking a meal for friends, family, neighbours or colleagues and recreating some of those dishes while raising vital funds for Jacari!  

Any donation, no matter how small, will help Jacari to support disadvantaged young people who use EAL to increase their confidence and language skills and achieve their potential.
