Hello from Isaac and Paige!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and hear about what God is doing in our marriage and in Philadelphia. Paige and I met at a 9 month Christian gap year program in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, where we started dating. After graduation, God led us to the second part of the program near Greenville, South Carolina where we both studied ministry management and leadership. During our time there, we went on a short term mission trip to Kensington, Philadelphia. On that trip, we all felt the depravity and saw the gaping Jesus sized hole that is so evident. While we were there, Paige fell in love with the people and the work that God is doing in Philadelphia. She then decided to spend the summer of 2024 as an intern with Productive Lives. Productive Lives is a training organization that teaches people to serve others with the love of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to partner with already existing ministries by providing them with man power, through bringing in groups to serve alongside them in the mission that God has called them to.
While Paige spent her summer in Philly, I took the opportunity to spend my summer working in Alaska with some of my friends. During my time there, Paige would tell me about the things that she was doing and how God was moving. Things like conversations she got to have with drug addicts and homeless people during chaplaincy with the Rock (one of our ministry partners), or about the friendships that she had made working with kids through kid and teen clubs at Cornerstone Community Church (another ministry partner), and working at the local public Elementary School library. When Paige finished her internship, she was offered a full time position with Productive Lives as the Program and Education Coordinator.
On February 2nd, 2025 Paige and I got married, and after a lot of prayer, talking to each other and to wise people in our lives, we felt sure that God was calling us to start our marriage in Philadelphia. I was offered a job with Productive Lives as the Director of the Community Initiative. And so, this is the beginning of our adventure, but we are confident that God has more in store for us here.
Now as we share Jesus and his love with the people who need Him, we want to invite you to join with us and help support the work that God is doing in any of these four ways:
1. Prayer: Most importantly, would you join us by praying and sign up for our quarterly newsletter to stay updated on what is happening and how you can most effectively pray?
2. Serve: Would you join us by coming to be a part of what God is doing here by coming yourself, with your family, or with a group from church, school, or just a bunch of friends? You can come for a day, a week or however long you feel called and capable to do. If this interests you, fill out the contact form on the Productive Lives website.
3. Financially: Would you prayerfully consider supporting us financially? I am sure many of you remember the financial struggles of early marriage. Through your support, we can navigate these and stay fully committed to the mission that God has called us to, without having to seek out other employment. Our Annual goal is $50,000 (this will cover both our salaries for the year).
4. Tell others: Will you share this page with other people, so that more people can be informed and involved in what God is doing in Philadelphia?
