Immigrant Opera is the new immersive theatre form with an ethical mission: helping creative immigrants integrate into the UK cultural market and raising awareness about the effects of totalitarianism on our humanity.
In a world increasingly threatened by totalitarian and illiberal regimes and climate change, latent or open-ended conflicts are now increasing across the globe, climate disasters are more and more unpredictable, and the need to address these challenges from a humanist perspective is more critical than ever. With Immigrant Opera we strive to de-escalate the appalling streak of xenophobia and the uprising of far-right ideologies the UK and the rest of the world are going through. We provide a platform for artists previously censored by toxic governments and give the audience a first hand insight on what it is like to live in a state of war and dictatorship, and the early signs to look out for.
We will lead the cult for appreciating foreign talent, supporting fair wages and inclusivity. We will create agency through the power of art and game theory. With our chamber orchestra, original music, interactive art installations and avant garde costumed performances will help deliver our loud message and add bite and diversity to the UK theatre scene lacking in daring fresh material. We will give the audience the unforgettable taste of how totalitarian regimes break people.

Right now me and my team are plotting heavily, but need your support. We want to pay the people, we want to start purchasing materials and commission incredible on site interactive installations, we want to afford legal support and licensing. We currently don't have sponsors, because private and public funding is only given to already profiting projects. But we have big dreams and ambitions, outstanding abilities, unlimited creativity, and people who believe and rely on us.
Our team:
Nikita Sukhikh - Head of Music. Conductor at Bolshoi Theatre, Composer of operas performed across Europe, maestro violinist, feisty metalhead.
Lena Popova - Head of Operations. Expert in finance and art management, wise numbers woman who is capable of receiving all the eccentricity we unleash on her and make sense of it all. Art agent and socialite with impeccable taste.
Marria Roslova - Founder and Creative Director. Sustainable cyberpunk fashion icon, classically trained opera singer, controversial songwriter, general comfort disruptor. Oh, and she spits punk poetry!
We are aiming to premiere at the beginning of 2026 and run for about a month.
