I Am A Queen's Ultimate Christmas Adoption program is a 10-week program that provides assistance to families in the Piedmont-Triad facing economic hardship during the holiday season. The program requires families to sign up to receive help, there is a screening and selection process of candidates, a registration period, and an educational seminar on financial awareness and how to overcome personal obstacles.
The program utilizes an angel tree selection process for donors and corporations to select children’s wish lists they would like to adopt. In addition, the program partners with local grocery stores to provide each family with a holiday food box that contains a frozen turkey and nonperishable sides.
We will also provide Christmas Gift Bags to 100 senior citizens in the Piedmont Triad, N.C.
During the second week of December, I Am A Queen partners annually with The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Greensboro to provide space for donors to drop off their gifts and for families to pick up.
