Our film seeks to capture the heartwarming journey of humpback whales, showcasing their resilience from decline to recovery. In collaboration with local voices, including Indigenous knowledge holders, scientists, and activists, we weave a narrative that informs and inspires. Venturing into Desolation Sound, a remote area with limited biodiversity documentation, we shed light on nature's active recovery. "Hope for the Humpbacks" aims to inspire awareness and action by highlighting the incredible resilience of these marine giants and ongoing conservation efforts. We hope this short film will help combat eco-grief and offer uplifting news amidst all the current disasters.
