I am honored to be part of a group of dedicated Kansas City community leaders who will embark on a "Hike for Reconciliation", which is a 20+ mile, one day, rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon. Our goal is to raise awareness and $5,000 in support of the vital work carried out by Reconciliation Services.
Please consider supporting me and this important work by making a donation today! Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by poverty and trauma in our city.
For more than 30 years, Reconciliation Services has worked to address the root causes of the economic and racial disparities facing our neighbors. Their starting point for reconciliation has always been simple—food and community.
The organization's programs strategically address community needs for affordable food access, and safe environments together to combat social isolation and build positive community connections, and increased access to social and mental health services that lead to improved health and self-sufficiency.
Historic discrimination and disinvestment made Troost Avenue a racial and economic dividing line in Kansas City. As a result, the strength of our neighbors and community remains hidden with thousands of our neighbors struggling to survive and succeed, trapped in poverty and trauma.
Their diverse staff, board, and volunteers work daily to advocate for our neighbors in need and create meaningful community connections that can lead to reconciliation.
Thank you for your support!
