Each year, Reconciliation Services works to address root causes and symptoms of poverty and trauma in Kansas City, serving nearly 4,000 neighbors in need.
This October, I will be joining a group of hikers to trek across the Grand Canyon -- 20+ miles from the North Rim to the South Rim -- to bring awareness and raise support for Reconciliation Services and their work to cultivate social and economic reconciliation to our community. I am trying to raise $5,000 for this organization that is committed to promoting DIGNITY, COMMUNITY, and ADVOCACY. Please consider supporting me and this important work by making a donation today!
I was introduced to Thelma's Kitchen and Reconciliation Services by a colleague several years ago, over a delicious meal at their pay-what-you-can cafe. I believe wholeheartedly in their mission and desire to see marginalized and historically underrepresented groups supported and empowered in Kansas City.
When I learned about the Rim-to-Rim hike to raise money and awareness for the work Reconciliation Services is doing in our community, I felt immediately compelled to join. I have a deep love for the desert, hiking, and the great outdoors - and I am excited to propel the mission of Reconciliation Services forward by participating in this incredible physical challenge.
I dream of a Kansas City that is truly equitable and fully healed from grief and trauma. Thank you for considering investing in this meaningful cause.
