The Association of Volunteer Fire Firefighters of Ukraine in Odesa has been our partner since October of 2022. They respond daily to missile and drone strikes. Often, they are first ones on scene responding to these horrible attacks. They have been recognized for their heroism at all levels of Government in Ukraine.
They operate a fleet of mostly American fire engines, ambulances and SUVs. All of these vehicles had been retired in the USA. However, with resourcefulness and great skill the firefighters in Odesa continue to keep these vehicles in Operation. They do so at their own expense.
As the tempo of the Russian attacks has intensified, the vehicles have been pushed to their limits. We are looking to raise $4000 to cover the repair costs for several of these vehicles. This will cover mechanical repairs and tires costs.
