We currently work with over 300 households in Bushwick that do not have and cannot afford at-home internet access. Mil Mundos en Común hopes to fundraise to provide at least 100 fully subsidized installs providing access to the NYC Mesh network.
Mil Mundos en Común has been assisting with NYC Mesh internet installs in Spanish speaking households since Spring 2021, and has formalized efforts to meet the community demand for support. We support digital autonomy for Bushwick via internet installs, helping folks access city and local resources online, and promoting digital literacy through workshops.
Mil Mundos en Común is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit division of Mil Mundos, supporting access to essential goods, literature, and digital literacy in Bushwick. For every dollar donated, we will be receiving a match donation from an anonymous donor for up to $10,000.
