Seeds Worth Sowing is a mutual aid based nonprofit, providing non-invasive care in our programs for Black and Brown parents and caregivers. Our mission is to improve Black and Brown parents and caregivers' quality of life and strengthen the unity in parenthood, through holistic approaches and direct action.
We started mobilizing local community efforts in response to the uprising that occurred in the Twin Cities in 2020 that left many Black and Brown families without access to many crucial stores and streets for their children and dependents. We mobilized quickly to support the families and have since became a known resource for families to receive holistic support and care. We believe in establishing deep relationships with community members who are in need and with community members who want to help those in need, so we can expand mutual aid systems in all neighborhoods locally.
Your donation goes towards our operations for us to sustain our organization. Currently, our wages and programs are underfunded, and we are working tirelessly to change that while working full time to coordinate our programs around the clock. As a 100% Black and Brown led team, we understand that in order for us to serve our community to our best ability, we must have financial stability to run our programs and sustainably pay our staff. We appreciate your support in any way of our organization and our vision!
