Our next project is to help community cats and their rescuers in India 🇮🇳
Meet The Feline Foundation, located in📍Mumbai: thefelinefoundation.com
Decades of neglect have caused an overpopulation of stray cats in this busy city, leading to widespread suffering, distress, and disease.
The Feline Foundation is a locally run, registered NGO, saving community cats via TNVR, strategic population management, and supporting their community since 2017. They have sterilised over 14,000+ cats since then, and sterilised over 80% of the cats in their area!
Every month, they help up to 500 cats, providing them with the highest quality sterilisation and vet care, and recovering each cat for an incredible 4 days before returning them to their caregiver or colony to live better lives.
You can see their amazing work on social media: instagram.com/thefelinefoundation
We can help support them by donating essential supplies and equipment that they can't access in India, and that will make their work easier and improve the cats' lives.
Trapping Equipment:
With the donations we raise in this fundraiser, we will donate high-quality, long-lasting, professional trapping equipment to the cat catching team. This equipment is essential for a TNVR program, helping the team catch and sterilise more cats, more easily, and more safely.
The essential traps they need are:
1) a large drop trap that can catch catch those last evasive intact cats
2) a restraint cage for the vet team to administer anaesthesia before neutering surgery
3) an automatic trap
4) transfer cages
5) bite gloves to protect their catching team
Some of these traps can cost £100 or more, and cost several hundred £££ to ship to India.
Cat Supplies:
Donations will also be used to donate needed supplies for cats recovering from neutering surgery, and other ongoing treatments that the vet clinic provides to thousands of animals each year. You can donate items directly from their Amazon Wishlist here: amazon.in/hz/wishlist/ls
