Founded in the 1730s as the Kensington Burial Ground, Palmer Cemetery houses the remains of loved ones in the Fishtown community from as far back as the Revolutionary War. It is currently maintained by a small group of trustees in the neighborhood who fund its upkeep with small grants from the city and other local organizations. However, in order to keep up with necessary repairs, regular landscaping work, and restoration efforts, they are seeking more funding.
