My name is Mohammad Ammar, and I am from Gaza. My wife and I are living through unimaginable hardship, facing fear, displacement, and uncertainty every day. We have lost so much, and even our simplest dreams of living safely and building a family now feel painfully out of reach.
We desperately need a safe tent to protect us from the bitter cold of winter, along with a basic kitchen and bathroom that would allow us to live with a little dignity and security. These are simple necessities, yet under our current circumstances, they feel like impossible luxuries.
The war also forced me to put my university studies on hold, leaving behind the education and future I worked so hard to build. Every day, I worry about the dreams I have had to sacrifice and wonder when life will give us another chance.
One of our deepest sorrows is our struggle to have a child. For years, my wife and I have dreamed of becoming parents, holding our baby in our arms, and experiencing the joy of raising a family. However, I suffer from thalassemia, and we are also facing infertility challenges. The medical care and fertility treatments we need are far beyond what we can afford. It is heartbreaking to watch this precious dream slip further away simply because we lack the resources to seek treatment.
We are not asking for a life of luxury. We are asking for the chance to survive the winter, receive the medical care we desperately need, and rebuild a future where hope is still possible.
