Hi everyone,
This is another update about our mom's condition. About 3–4 weeks ago, she was prescribed antidepressants (venlafaxine) to help manage panic attacks and anxiety about the uncertain future. Venlafaxine is already having a positive effect and has helped reduce her anxiety.
We initially planned to get a second treatment in Korea on June 15. Unfortunately, her platelet (thrombocyte) and iron levels are low, which means she is not cleared to fly. She is receiving blood transfusions with high levels of platelets to address this issue, but her levels keep dropping, which indicates bone marrow exhaustion.
Our plan is to continue with transfusions in the hope that her blood markers will normalize and she will be able to fly for another round of treatments.
Thank you, everyone, for keeping an eye on our journey.
Sending love to all of you.

Thanks everyone who has supported this campaign so far – your kindness, donations, and words of encouragement mean the world.
After a recent round of endovascular treatment in Korea, there was some initial improvement. Unfortunately, the latest medical examinations have shown that the disease is progressing: new metastases have appeared in the lungs and lymph nodes, and the tumor is now affecting areas near the heart and spine. Despite this difficult news, the medical team in Korea remains hopeful, as the body has responded positively to the treatment so far.
Continuing this treatment is critical, but it comes with significant financial challenges. To date, approximately €25,000 of the €40,000 goal has been raised. This amount will cover one more round of treatment in June. However, reaching the full fundraising goal is essential to allow for several additional rounds of therapy, which are needed to give the best possible chance in this fight.
Every donation and share brings us closer to making ongoing treatment possible. Thank you for your continued support and for standing together in this journey. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
With gratitude,
The Family
