Leigh Folk Arts needs to raise funds to pay for the increasing costs of putting on Leigh Folk Festival, so it can return in 2025. We are asking if you can donate to support us, using the link on this page. If you choose to make a regular monthly donation this would be especially valuable to us.
The festival has become a key part of the cultural calendar in the area and adds to the vibrant local culture, it is enjoyed by more than 15,000 people over a June weekend, and proudly provides a platform for new and developing artists. The festival is arranged by and for the community. We are a small community charity and a team of local residents make up the organising committee.
Like most charities, we are now finding it difficult to raise funds , our costs are increasing and we have fewer volunteers, leading to the decision to make 2024 a fallow year.
We want to be able to continue to provide free music, dance and spoken word for all ages, including activities aimed at families that we are famous for.
So anything that you can afford to give, using the link on this page, would help us to plan a festival for 2025 with more certainty and most importantly to keep the majority of events free.
