Meet Jessy
Jessy is a bright, gentle little dog who has been bravely fighting a very rare and aggressive cancer.
Over the past months, she has undergone major surgery and has begun chemotherapy. The good news is that she is doing well. She is eating, gaining weight and still enjoying her walks, her meals and her time at home.
Her spirit hasn’t changed. She is still very much herself.
An Unusual and Difficult Diagnosis
Jessy has been diagnosed with stage 3 mesenchymal chondrosarcoma, an extremely rare cancer that is almost never seen in dogs. Because of its rarity, treatment decisions have required specialist consultations and careful monitoring.
Her care includes:
• Specialist oncology treatment
• Ongoing chemotherapy sessions
• Regular lung X-rays to monitor a suspicious nodule
• Close supervision to ensure the treatment is working and that she continues to feel well
Treatment will only continue as long as Jessy tolerates it comfortably and maintains a good quality of life.
Her wellbeing always comes first.
Eva’s Commitment
Jessy’s owner, Eva, is a student.
Despite this, she has already spent more than €5,700 on Jessy’s care, including:
• Advanced scans
• Major surgery
• Emergency care
• Post-operative monitoring
• The start of chemotherapy
She has also travelled long distances to specialist clinics to make sure Jessy receives the best possible treatment.
This has all been done quietly, without asking for help, simply because Jessy is family.
Why We Are Fundraising
We are now raising €4,000 to help cover Jessy’s remaining chemotherapy sessions, follow-up scans and ongoing medical care.
This is not to recover past expenses.
It is to help Eva get Jessy through the final stage of treatment.
Each chemotherapy session costs approximately €450–€550, and ongoing monitoring is essential to track how well the treatment is working.
