About this Fundraiser
We are working with the Oxford Interfaith Center in Oxford, Ohio to receive funds for specific projects we are hoping to start with partners in Cameroon and beyond. We will be happy to share updates on the work with photos about what have been able to accomplish thanks to your support.
In communities across Cameroon, many women, girls, and people who menstruate face challenges accessing affordable and safe menstrual products. FAHEDEF Org is changing that- by teaching vital sewing skills and producing reusable menstrual pads that support dignity, health, and opportunity.
In 2024, VOICE Ireland proudly supported FAHEDEF with two refurbished sewing machines, generously donated by brothers John and Stephen through Tools of Solidarity in Belfast (their team of dedicated volunteers rebuilds old sewing machines giving them new life and sending them where they’re needed most).
Now FAHEDEF needs the materials to keep this powerful work going. Your donation will help purchase fabric, thread, tools, and essential supplies so that women and girls can continue learning valuable skills, and access reusable menstrual items that save money, reduce waste, and support school and work attendance. This opportunity will also work to employ facilitators for the sewing and empower Ambassadors with some sewing machines.
Every contribution, big or small, helps FAHEDEF train more people, produce more reusable pads, and expand this life-changing initiative. We can make a difference and help build skills, confidence, and menstrual dignity.

Family Health and Development Foundation (FAHEDEF) was established on April 12, 2013, with the overarching goal of making lives better for families in Cameroon. We are dedicated to improving the lives of families by providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive. Our services include healthcare, education, and community development programs. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, education, and opportunity, and we are committed to making that a reality for families in Cameroon and beyond.
Our work focuses on personal development and financial literacy by providing training in bookkeeping and supporting income-generating activities. To facilitate community cooperation, we have assisted communities in establishing cooperatives and groups. Our Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs also ensure that these communities maintain healthy living conditions.
