The Barikzay family has lived in Rock Island for ten years. Omid Barikzay, one of their six children, attended Rock Island High School, has graduated Augustana College, and is now working for John Deere. He is also working with World Relief in Moline to help resettle 150 Afghani refugees to the Quad Cities area. You can read about his story here.
The Barikzay family has 15 family members of their own who are still in Afghanistan. With the ongoing turmoil in their homeland, they would love for them to join them here in the US. But applications for immigrations cost $575 each. They asked if our church might be able to help.
Together with World Relief, Tapestry Farms, members of our congregation, and friends in the community - we have enough to pay for 12 family members. Can you help us with these last few!
