H.E.A.R.T is an animal welfare group in the U.S. territory of Guam. We promote the humane treatment of humans and animals through education, advocacy and services. We show compassion to animals who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected while engaging the hearts, hands, and minds of our community.
We are all volunteer-based, including the HEART administrators/board members. All of your donations go directly to the care we provide to the boonies and any of our programs related to our mission.
We have taken in 100+ rescues with our small team in just the last 5-6 months and roughly estimate 200 more at least over the next year.
Programs we are raising funds for over the next year:
Spay/Neuters: Roughly estimated to cost ~$30,000 for 200 animals
Pet Pantry: About $10,000-15,000 to keep established companion animals where they belong- at home- by providing pet food and other basic supplies and resources to low income, homeless, and elderly community members inn need
Foster Program: Roughly estimated for also $10,000-15,000 for food and other foster supplies as needed for all of the rescues we take in until they are adopted
Animal Sanctuary: Estimated about $50,000 to obtain land and $20,000 for a container office/storage space with added costs for zoning permits and required land inspections, land clearing and landscaping, building structures and kennels for animals and planting of local plants and trees.
Estimated total goal: About $150,000 over the next year.
