ESSEX Joint Projects
We are really pleased to be working with a veteran family that run Hawk Farm who support vulnerable adults with a range of different activities. The work that they do with their service users is amazing and we have been given a fantastic opportunity to work together with our veteran community.
There are many projects that we will work towards ranging from build projects, fishing lake work parties, pear tree orchards and allotment gardening. Our veterans are undertaking the task of making these projects a success and volunteer their time and skills to each project.
The Outcomes
This is a great opportunity for our veterans and their families to come together on regular occasions giving them a purpose and a safe environment to work in alongside others that share the same experiences. It will also give the service users from Hawk Farm an end goal to work towards, providing them with the infrastructure so they will be able grow their own vegetables and have access to an indoor community space.
The projects will benefit many, reduce isolation and improve the wellbeing of all that take part in them.
Help Needed
To support each project, we desperately need funds for build material, tools, vegetable plots, fishing lake projects and much more. All donations will directly support one of our projects of which the progress will be captured on our social media platforms so you can see the difference that you are making. Alternatively, if you are in a position to donate any material / tools etc that would be a great help too. You can see the progress that we are making with your kind support by visiting our Hawk Farm page on our website HAWK FARM (phoenixheroes.co.uk)
Fundraising
This page is also used for all fundraising activity in support of our joint projects, our most current one being Mount Snowdon challenge the 12 - 15th May by Clare Wardle and her friends Amy Sutherwood, Denise Povah, Lorraine Ellesley and Katie Byrne.
Please get behind them and show your support, please donate and share, all funds raised will go directly to support our Hawk Farm projects.
