The war in Ukraine has prompted the worst humanitarian disaster in Europe since the Second World War. As of September 19, more than 7.2 million Ukrainian refugees have fled the country.
HandsOnForUkraine is an initiative that enables people from around the world to provide direct support to Ukrainian refugees and war victims. Think of this as a way to be on the ground, from wherever you are in the world, and help in the same ways as the Polish people: by buying a meal for a refugee, opening your home to a refugee family, or sending medical supplies into Ukraine.

Victor, the founder of our initiative, is on the Polish-Ukrainian border and is working with locally-organized efforts in underserved communities to understand what supplies and services are urgently needed. Specifically, we are using 100% of funds to purchase items (e.g., food, medical supplies, hygiene products), fund services (e.g., accommodation for refugees) and get aid to those that need it (e.g., arranging transport into Ukraine).
For full transparency, you can follow the net donations and expenses as we update them on this view-only sheet. Our bank account is monitored by a group of multiple organizers. Unfortunately, we cannot issue tax receipts.

ABOUT US
I (Victor Lal) am a Master's of Public Policy student at Oxford, focused on refugee policy. My parents were Polish migrants who fled the communist regime. I have focused my career on migration issues, including by sponsoring 17 Syrian refugees through Canadians for Syria, and working with the International Rescue Committee. I speak fluent Polish and have family who live along the Polish-Ukrainian border, enabling me to coordinate effectively with local organizations.
