The war in Sudan has displaced millions of people and left countless homes, schools, businesses, and community spaces damaged or destroyed. Yet, despite the scale of destruction, a critical gap in humanitarian aid remains: helping people rebuild after war.
Haboba's House was created to help bridge this critical gap.
Today, we are the only initiative dedicated specifically to repairing war-damaged homes and community spaces in Sudan (so we need all the help we can get!)
We work directly with our trusted local builders to restore the places that make returning to everyday life possible: safe homes that shelter families, schools and clinics that serve communities, and small businesses that restore livelihoods and help local economies recover.
Every contribution brings someone closer to stability and hope. 🇸🇩
How do you choose which projects to support?
We prioritise projects based on urgency, vulnerability, and community impact. Home repairs are selected through our outreach programme, with priority given to families living in damaged homes who include children, elderly individuals, or people with disabilities.
For community projects, we assess the number of people who will benefit, the urgency of the repairs required and the project's potential to support long-term recovery, education and livelihoods.
Our aim is to support projects that not only address immediate needs, but also help communities rebuild safely and sustainably.
