Meet homeowner Gerry (pronounced like Gary) Sims and partner Margaret Rohden. Gerry, an Air Force Veteran now needs a wheelchair to get around but the flooring in his home makes that difficult. Worse, Gerry can no longer access his home's back yard due to the cement stairs and concrete slab deteriorating.
Mr. Sims has owned his house since 1995 and now lives on a fixed income. The Habitat Repairs program, with your help, will make his home more accessible with new flooring, a new concrete slab and a ramp for Gerry to access the fresh air and sunshine that made him decide to call Cheyenne home all those years ago.
We'll also be replacing some water damaged drywall and doing some minor electrical repairs.
