THE RUCKING 100 PROJECT

Mark Jones is a retired military veteran and currently serves as the Ruck Director for Spartan Race, a globally recognized leader in endurance events, under the DEKA Fit umbrella. With a deep passion for rucking, Mark views it as a practice that offers both personal growth and a powerful connection to something greater. He believes that rucking for a cause* holds even more profound significance, exemplified by his pursuit of the Guinness World Record for the most miles completed while carrying a 40-pound rucksack over 24 hours.

Beyond his professional role at DEKA, Mark is also a devoted stay-at-home father, where he trains and mentors his two sons, Cooper and Cameron. His commitment to family and fitness is balanced seamlessly, inspiring those around him to lead lives of purpose and resilience.

Mark’s dedication to endurance sports is unparalleled. He has sought out and completed some of the world’s most grueling events, including GORUCK Selection, the Death Race World Championship, World’s Toughest Mudder, the Texas Water Safari, the Leadville 100, and many others. Each challenge reflects his unwavering commitment to pushing the limits of both body and mind.

In addition to his athletic pursuits, Mark holds a Master’s in Business Administration and serves as a mentor and consultant to several companies, offering innovative ideas on fitness and endurance.

*Funds raised in his GWR attempt will be donated to the Oscar Mike Foundation, a proud supporter of Mark’s attempt.
