For more than 25 years, Catholics from Kansas City have traveled to San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala to live in solidarity with the poor through presence, relationship, and service.
This year, from July 16–22, 2026, City on a Hill will embark on its 7th mission trip, bringing 30 young adults to the rural community of Through your generosity, missionaries will work alongside local families by helping build homes, construct wood-burning stoves, and create shelters for animals. Your support also provides supplies for the sick and creates meaningful encounters with children at a school serving those with developmental disabilities.
Your gift does more than fund a project. It makes space for prayer, relationship, and personal conversion. As missionaries share daily life with the families they serve, they encounter Christ present in the poor and return home with a renewed commitment to live the Gospel in Kansas City.
A priest accompanies the trip to offer daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and Confession. The mission also includes a pilgrimage to Santiago Atitlán, where Blessed Stanley Rother gave his life in witness to the faith.
Your generosity helps form young adults into missionary disciples, strengthens families in Guatemala, and allows the Church’s mission of love to continue across borders.
